Future Environmental Keepers (FEK) is a youth-led black owned environmental consulting company by South Africans whose vision and mission is to offer integrated environmental management services to mining companies, businesses and developments. FEK has offices in Gauteng and Mpumalanga and is able to extend its services to all clients across the country.
FEK have registered EAPs, Natural Scientists and ECOs with a proven excellent work ethic, experience and qualifications in the field of environmental sciences and mining.

specialists have extensive work experience in NEMA, MPRDA applications and
environmental audits and compliance monitoring from both the mining sector,
provincial government and development planning.

Thebe Lejaha acquired a bachelor of social sciences in geography and environmental management from
the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a short course in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for Reviewers
from North-West University, certificates of competency in Hazard Identification and Risk Control,
Control Workplace Hazardous Substances and Basic Life Support & First Aid, all three from Safety and
Training Solutions. Holds a BSc Honours in environmental management from University of South Africa.
A recent Candidate MScEng in Waste & Resource Management from University of KwaZulu-Natal. He
has 6 years worth of extensive work experience in environmental management and compliance from
both the mining sector and provincial government (regulator).
Cecil Dau is a qualified Earth Scientist holding a Bachelor of Earth Sciences (Honours) in Mining and
Environmental Geology from the University of Venda and Bachelor of Science (Honours) in
Environmental Management from the University of South Africa. With over five years of professional
experience in the Environmental Management sector, Cecil worked in both consulting roles and at the
Regulator at Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
